Time now for the 2009 preposterous statement tournament (not to be confused with the Common Man Dan Cole’s Preposterous Statement Tournament). You can follow the tournament by using the 20 Times Around the Block Preposterous Statement bracket. Make your pick for a winner! A complete list of the statements can be found here.
We are moving deeper into the tournament as we move on to Regionals!
Which statement is more preposterous?
I feel like I can serve the people in a good way now because I have all kinds of insights that virtually no one has. –Rod Blagojevich
Ignoring Facebook friends and promoting terrorism might seem like a strange connection, but hear me out. Both attitudes are based on the same self-centered attitude.–Julie Clawson
I’ll be up front, I really like Clawson in this one. I know Blago is favored, but I am not going with him. He is supposed to be full of hot air. The kind of thing Clawson says just doesn’t come very often, and it hits that level of preposterousness that really can’t be matched even on Blago’s best days.
