Time now for the 2009 preposterous statement tournament (not to be confused with the Common Man Dan Cole’s Preposterous Statement Tournament). You can follow the tournament by using the 20 Times Around the Block Preposterous Statement bracket. Make your pick for a winner! A complete list of the statements can be found here.
The first round is all done, and the second round of prepostersous statement madness begins!
Which statement is more preposterous?
[Tom] Daschele is a [perpetrator] and victim of the system, which Christian professionals help enable. –Joe Carson commenting on The New Christians
I feel like I can serve the people in a good way now because I have all kinds of insights that virtually no one has. –Rod Blagojevich
Joe Carson barely squeaked by in a down to the wire matchup with EJ Dionne. EJ just couldn’t sink ’em when it counted, and Carson made a great comeback in the last two minutes that should get the attention of his competitors. However, he will have an uphill battle against Rod Blagojevich who absolutely destroyed Lindsey Graham–I mean please, it wasn’t even a contest.
