Movie Recommendation: Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)

I saw it this weekend, and it is now on my top-ten list of favorite films. Obviously, I am partial to movies about the Holocaust since Schindler’s List and The Pianist are also on my list, but this one is a little different since it is more cerebral than emotional. Staring Spencer Tracy (Guess Who’s Coming for Dinner) and directed by Stanly Kramer (High Noon) it registers as a classic with lots of careful editing, attention to detail, well-written dialogue, powerful acting, and a narrative chock full of ethical intensity which delivers a poignant theme: justice over patriotism. If you got Netflix, put this one on your “To See” list.
